The Ontario Vietnamese Soccer League (OVSL) was founded in the summer of 2003 by four soccer enthusiasts, Hao Le, Hoang Le, Nghia Tran and Qui Nguyen, who all shared the common vision of uniting Vietnamese people through the spirit of soccer. The idea to develop an organized soccer league was sparked by the growing interests of grassroots soccer in the Greater Toronto Area coupled with the motivation to unite the Vietnamese people, young and old alike, through the spirit of sportsmanship, fitness, and friendly competition. With little funding, the four founding members diligently rallied support from the Vietnamese business community and officially launched OVSL on June 8, 2003, marking the formation of the first ever organized Vietnamese soccer league in Ontario.

Through the continual support of the community and the dedication of volunteers, players, and coaches, OVSL has successfully and continues to embrace its vision of uniting Vietnamese people all across Ontario. On behalf of all the OVSL executives, we would like to thank all of our volunteers, players, coaches, and fans for making our vision a reality. We look forward to yet another exciting, competitive, and fun season.

Vào mùa Hè 2003, 4 tay hâm mộ bóng đá Hào Lê, Hoàng Lê, Quí Nguyễn & Nghĩa Trần đã có cùng ý nghĩ là sẽ hợp nhất người Việt qua tinh thần thể thao bóng đá.Từ ý nghĩ đó cùng với sự gia tăng của giới hâm mộ bóng đá trong vùng Ontario, cộng thêm nguyện vọng khích lệ tinh thần hữu nghị & đoàn kết trong cộng đồng qua những trận cầu giưã những đội bóng người Việt trong tỉnh bang, Liên Đoàn Bóng Đá Người Việt Tỉnh Bang Ontario (OVSL) đã được ra đời.

Với sự hổ trợ của một vài mạnh thường quân qua nổ lực gian nan bước đầu, OVSL đã chính thức được thành lập vào ngày 8 tháng 6 năm 2003, đánh dấu cho sự ra đời của Đoàn Bóng Đá Việt Nam lần đầu tiên tại tỉnh bang Ontario.

Cho đến nay đã qua 4 mùa bóng, Liên Đoàn ngày càng trưởng thành và chúng tôi kính mời các bạn yêu thích bóng đá tiếp tục nhiệt tình ủng hộ, tham gia, và cổ vũ nhằm cổ động phong traò thể dục thể thao trong cộng đồng người Việt tại xứ người. Ban tổ chức OVSL vô cùng biết ơn sự ủng hộ và tham gia của tất cả quý vị.
